Speaking Without Words: a Post-Rock mix
So if you’ve been reading through my music posts, then you probably might notice that like 1 out of 5 of my music posts are about Post-Rock. That’s because I love the genre so much. I dunno how to explain it but it ‘gets to me’. I swear the first time I ever heard This Will Destroy You, I put my hand over my mouth because I was grinning so much out of sheer joy that people might think I was schizophrenic or something. I get this emotional reaction whenever I hear a great post-rock song for the first time. It sounds so great without the need of lyrics or vocals (although some bands do have vocalists). I think that might be a big reason why I like the genre so much. Because I’m not much of a talker and its almost like post-rock is very introverted as well.
so if you’re familiar with the genre I hope you’ll like these songs.
and if you’re new to the genre then may this mix be a little sampler of what post-rock is :D
